Don't forget to Live

I read this today and thought it was worth sharing. This can relate to most everyone. The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.

First I was dying to finish high school and start college.

And then I was dying to finish college and start working.

And then I was dying to marry and have children.

And then I was dying for my children to grown old enough for school so I could return to work.

And then I was dying to retire.

And now, I am dying... and suddenly I realize I forgot to live.

For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away- James 4:14

I am guilty of this myself. And having a senior in high school and seeing his life go by so fast, it is time to slow down and enjoy him. Like I have told Matthew, these are the best days of his life. I never thought life could pass by so quick.

I am guilty of this, but trying to do better here lately. Hope you had a great weekend!

I know I am guilty of this too, and I think it makes the time go by even faster. I can't believe that Dawson is almost a year old! THAT is crazy.

Thanks for posting this to remind us to treasure every second.

You have to stop to smell the roses. You think life is going fast now. Wait until you are 50 and all of a sudden your life is on fast forward and no one asked you if you wanted it on fast forward.

Life is short at it longest and that is a fact.

Thank you for the reminder. It IS going by so fast here, too, and it seems to be getting faster and faster.
